Born in what we've identified as an alternate reality to Trisha Elric and Van Hohenheim of Resembool in the winter of 1899, Edward's first few years were relatively happy; but after the sudden departure of his father during the lad's formative years, Ed was left with his mother and younger brother Alphonse as his only family. The three Elrics lived in peace in the rural village and the boys began displaying a remarkable talent for alchemy, an ability to create and destroy matter, only accessible in this alternate reality, at a young age, much to the joyful astonishment of his mother. However, early in the year 1904, Trisha contracted an illness that had been spreading in the area and died, leaving her two sons orphaned.

Not much is known about Edward's years before entering this reality. From what we can gather, he emerged from a gate in space-time created inadvertently through alchemy. The first recorded sighting of Elric was reported by agents stationed in Munich, Germany in 1921 A.D. Reports say he studied rocketry and aeronautics with Dr. Hermann Oberth along with his colleague, Alfons Heiderich.

Edward ultimately gave up his pursuit of rocket building. We assume, because he determined that returning to his reality was not possible through conventional means. However his friend Alfons managed to gain the attention of the the Thule Society, a group of German occultists, researching various supernatural methods for gaining military superiority, including alchemy. Ed learned of the Thule Society's plans to create a bridge from this world to the alternate one through the use of alchemy. It's not clear where they gained the resources to accomplish this, however Elric was able to thwart their plans which got him noticed Operative Gene Tigereye. Captain Tigereye approached Elric and recruited him into service aboard the CSS Corinth. (Formerly designated CSS Angel) When Council authorities objected to this action, it is reported that Tigereye simply replied "It's my ship, blow it out your ass." Subsequently, after years of faithful service, Elric was later discharged by Captain Tigereye, (Under pressure from council authorities,) after an event involving illegal use of a Falseworld Gate. The details of this event have been classified and will not be included in this report.

Elric was discharged with standard memory replacement protocol, but due to the nature of his origin we were unable to return him home. He has been placed in the Cubeo system, Standard Galactic Timeframe 3303 where he operates as a private Commander for the Prismatic Imperium. He has been designated an anomalous component and will continue to undergo close surveillance for the foreseeable future. End of report.
